Our Team

Nina has worked as an optical professional in several cities but is a Portland native. She believes that a frame is a personal reflection of style and with over 20 years experience she loves seeing all the new ways people can connect great vision to their own unique expression. Nina has recently graduated from a curriculum in massage therapy, and is balancing both incredible careers. Her favorite part of working at Hawthorne Vision Center for over 15 years is the patients! Hearing your stories and seeing you all year after year is the real joy in this career. When not working, she can be found at the barn with her two horses or hiking and camping in the great PNW outdoors.

Matthew is a native Oregonian born in Albany. He started in the optical field in 2013 and enjoys all areas of patient care including helping with your glasses or getting patients prepped for the doctor. Outside of work, he enjoys movies, the occasional video game, sports are a big part of his life. Make sure to chat about your favorite team if you get the opportunity to work with Matthew.

Meet Jaron. He comes to us from Chicago with 14+ years of experience in the optical field. Since his move, he has enjoyed all of the great hiking spots Oregon has to offer. Jaron enjoys rooting on his favorite teams, the St. Louis Cardinals and the St. Louis Blues. In his free time, Jaron enjoys adventuring with his four legged companion, Kal, who is a pitbull-boarder collie mix that he adopted 4 years ago. Ask him to show you pictures of Kal, he's quite the photogenetic doggo!
